People of all ages use text messaging to communicate with family and friends. Text messaging is a very powerful means of communication because it tends to be high priority meaning messages are likely to be read and replied to right away. Before text messaging came about, other means of getting information around included mailing letters, using telegraphs and even reading paintings and drawings. Can you imagine how much time would be consumed, and not getting information around as fast as you want? Text messaging is also concise and conversational which allows us to conversate as if we were communicating in person or on the phone. The phenomenal  evolvement of text messaging has made communication significantly easier and reliable.
